In progressive scan mode, the TV displays the entire frame each time. So when playing at 60fps, 60 full frames are drawm every second.

The result is a much clearer picture, with better color, and it can handle speed a little more smoothly.
So without progressive scan, we're getting half the frame rate? And a worse of picture all around.

Well I have a Wega, and it seems to be running all of the GC games perfectly. I take it progressive scan is being used.

For some reason many of my mates aren't concerned with 50Hz and all that, but I'm the very picky type, and when I c jerky or slow FMV/realtime, makes me feel as if i'm getting a dodgy product.

The dodginess of it all
