I think folks are disappointed because there are far better choices. WB's been trying to get him to direct the Justice League movie for a while and I guess figured this was their best chance of that happening.

I just don't know about his voice. Even if he can shake the Boston accent he doesn't naturally have the deepness I expect from Batman. But I guess anything will be an improvement over Growly McSnarlypants.

Really wanted Jon Hamm. His excuse for never playing a superhero was he was too old. And the one time when they actually wanted someone in their 40s...sigh.
