Things are starting to move towards cloud saves, so that's good. Shouldn't have to worry about losing saves then, so long as we can also back up saves on our HDs (rather, HD be primary and cloud be backup).

You must be extra aggravated at the lack of polish since you work on the programming side of gaming.

I wanna say that even on STEAM, certain games like Half-Life 2 don't save your progress...or didn't at first. I know games like TF2 keep track of your saves.
