To me, its just a cheap way to not prove your point.

Okay, fine. Remember the Superboy-Prime bullshit?

It is later revealed that Jason indeed had died at the hands of the Joker, but when Superboy-Prime alters reality from the paradise dimension in which he is trapped (six months after his death), Jason is restored to life and breaks out of his coffin, but collapses thereafter and is hospitalized.

A bullshit alternate universe character changes a bullshit alternate universe resulting in the bullshit resurrection of Jason Todd's bloodied corpse. And PLEASE don't give me some lame excuse about this not really being a part of the multiverse concept. That's a cup of weak sauce.
You know, you try and be nice about things...

But it isn't. But I wasn't gonna give you that excuse.
Now for a recent example, Marvel kills off Nightcrawler in X-men Second Coming.
He comes back in Nov as the alternate universe Nightcrawler from the Age of Apocalypse line.
Or Peter Parker sells his marriage to the devil, Harry Osborn is no longer dead, he's been hiding out in Europe for the past few years.
My point is... and continues to be, that both sides do stupid stuff when it comes to death and resurrection in their comics.
Pointing out one is "superior" at handling death is a crook of crap. No matter how you slice it.

90 for DC. 95 for Marvel. Almost even. Feel free to comb through all of them and find out which is more ridiculous...because really, they all are.

Re: The DC 52
Please don't mistake my dislike of DC's record as an excuse for Marvel. I just happen to think they do a less awkward job of handling resurrections. Perhaps I just hate the multiverse concept more than anything, and its not really about deaths and resurrections at all?
As for what Marvel is doing now, I have no clue. I don't follow mainstream comics anymore. I buy mainly Image, Atomic Robo, and Mouse Guard, peppered with select anthologies for famous runs (recently BMB's run on Daredevil).

Mouse Guard is so great.
Did you ever check out Locke and Key?

Perfectly understandable if you don't like the multiverse.
Might find this interesting:
Also, the new Daredevil, which is only two issues in, is really really good. Never read anything with the character before this.
