Videogame magazines, do you still read any?
Printed media has been having a hard time with a constant decline ever since the internet became widely available near the end of the 90s. But I was wondering if there were still worthwhile magazines out there. I have been reading Game Informer because it comes with my rewards subscription from game stop. But does anyone here still reads gamepro or EGM? Maybe OXM, Play Station Magazine or Nintendo Power? And if so, are they worth buying them? Your opinions, please.

I only read the Game Informers which is a good marketing strategy because when you get the customers to sign up for PowerUp Rewards, not only do the magazines pay for themselves but they get a big profit from all the used sales and whatnot for rewards.
I know they're on the decline though. I think GamePro is changing to do quarterly magazines only now, which I think is a little ridiculous and doesn't work well for a magazine about gaming where lots of news comes out constantly throughout the week. I mean looks at Joystiq, EpicBattleAxe, 1UP, N4G. These are sites constantly getting flooded with new information about video games.
I usually stick to Joystiq cause they don't update extremely frequently and I enjoy their humor. Probably another reason why I like reading Engadget as well.
GamePro also needs to bring back LamePro.

Game Informer because it comes with my GameStop membership. They actually do tend to get stories even faster than the Internet in some cases.
Well, the Internet will get the gist of the story, but the major details will be in GI first...then hit the internet a few seconds later.

I still subscribe to Nintendo Power. Okay it was probably at its best back in the day, but I still enjoy getting it in my mailbox.

I was thinking about resubscribing just for nostalgia's sake.

I was thinking about resubscribing for the freebies. They used to give some cool stuff, like the Smash Bross Meele sound track which I still have around.
And Typhoid, Magazines are these printed things which have a bit of outdated news but you have the advantage of sitting to read it and not have to deal with distractions. I honestly cannot put my mind into just one thing on my pc unless it's a videogame. And even then... But when I have a magazine I read all of the articles completely and just enjoy it more. It's a personal thing but I'm sure I can't be the only one that works that way.

I haven't read them in.. 10 years or so. Since the internet, the only thing I enjoyed was the funny reviews/handsons. And I wasn't going to play for that.

I resubscribed to Nintendo Power this morning.
If you go to www.nintendopower.com/NP3 you get $5 off. So 12 issues for $15.

Holy shit. I might want to get on that, especially if they offer free swag
