I think Nintendo will do fine just because of their first party titles (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon), but I'm not sure if Sony can tank Apple and Nintendo.

2) I agree with you, Sony has a more uphill battle than Nintendo because their stable of IPs aren't as well known.

Until Nintendo officially announces the prices, I'm still holding out that it will be cheaper.
