Teuth, Bearpocalypse would be terrifying.

My neighbourhood is infested by bears who constantly saunter in (regardless of the time of day) and eat your garbage. And since they know what people are (the bringers of garbage) they know we aren't a threat, so all of the "Yell/Scream/Make loud noises" tactics don't work. I tried that once from my balcony down to a bear spreading garbage on my lawn at 3am. He didn't even recognize my existence (but who does?). Bears are terrifying things. They can climb better, run faster and swim longer than we can. They can break the windows to our houses or cars.

This is a bears' world, baby. We're just spreading garbage in it.

I can't imagine having bears strolling through my neighborhood. The largest wild animals around here are squirrels and well-fed rats.

So for a impending Bearpocalyse you abduct cubs and raise them to fight for your cause. With cool battle armor like in the Golden Compass. Though if one dies in battle and turns into an armored zombie bear, things could get tricky.

Humans can theoretically outrun any land animal over a long distance.
