Retro working on Donkey Kong

It sort of makes sense, I would love to see a new Donkey Kong platformer.

And it has remained my thoughts. I like Donkey Kong, and I don't mind more platformers, but on the same hand I think Retro is so much better than this.

They should be improving their know-how from Metroid Prime for a new IP or something. But then, I don't know who Nintendo has to work on a Donkey Kong game.

Who knows maybe Retro actually learned to make multiple games at once now.

This is like, the last IP I would have wanted them to work on. DK? Really? At least give them something that needs the attention *cough* Star Fox *cough*

The game looks like a lot of fun. I agree that the Retro talent might be wasted on a 'simple' game like this. Then again, nobody ever said platformers are easy to make.
You only have to look at that Epic Mickey 2D level. Booooooooooooring!!!!!

The only thing I don't like about it is the silly name. "Returns"? Come up with something better!! That's even worse than Donkey Kong 64.

Haha, listening to the DKC2 boss battle theme posted in the other thread and seeing these shots made me all giddy. If this is anything like the SNES games, then..
