Yeah, its kind of weird, but being that this is officially like the 5th generation of consoles (7th to some), I think its time we get more Best Of/Remake/Upgrade collections, sure we get some games on XBLA/PSN/WiiWare, but they should do it like movies.

Like Nintendo tried with Metroid Prime 3, by releasing Metroid and Super Metroid on VC in the weeks leading up to that, and never really tried that again.

Sony did it with GoW collection leading to GoW 3

For sure. It makes sense - cheap, builds hype, and lets old franchises keep kicking (if even to make some extra cash). Hell, Nintendo even did it as a pre-order offer for Wind Waker. It was that Crockpot Zelda compilation, had a tonne of content on it. I wouldve paid good cash for that, and I'm sure a lot of other people would have, too.
