Its not that I dislike Venom, he is cool and everything, but really there is no depth to him.

There's really no substance behind the character.

It has gotten a little better in recent times with a focus on Eddie Brock, but even that is iffy at the moment.

And how would you base a movie around him?

Earl they've based movies of toys, board games (monopoly to come out later this year, and its a strait Jumanji rip off), video games, and other very stupid things.

I wasn't saying they should. The point of those movies I don't care about. The point is Earl was asking how can you even make a Venom movie, and I pointed out cases where much less source material was given.
