Mega Man 10
Who's bought it, who wants to play it, who doesn't want to, and who's already playing it?
I am, and it's awesome! I've beaten three of the eight robots already (Sheep, Pump, Solar). I don't see it getting any easier haha.

I played a little bit today, only beat Sheep Man. Overall it's pretty good, but I think I prefer 9.

9 was great too, but I dunno. I found it to be very difficult for me. I can't remember how far I got into it. BF got to Wily's Castle though, I saw him do it.

Re: Mega Man 10
Haven't played 10 yet but loved 9. Couldn't beat it though. Couldn't get through Wily's castle. I can't tell if that's proof that old timey games are more difficult and didn't give a crap about the consumer or that they just made it difficult now.

Re: Mega Man 10
The Mega Man games in general have just been difficult for me really. I think I've only finished the first three and some of 9.

Megaman 9 was kinda a response to the faithfuls who said the games were too easy.
I've been playing megaman games since I was a little boy, and I started speedrunning them my freshman year, For a while I had the number 2 spot for Megaman X.
Anyway, Megaman 9 was a huge slap in the face. Haha. I died to so much random bullshit in that game. It was like I could hear the development team laughing in the background of the music.
The worst part was the elephants. Fucking elephants.
It really was just sort of a new take on the games. I actually enjoyed the hell out of it though, and that's one reason it got so much positive coverage. I can't wait to get 10 for XBL Arcade, but not sure how the xbox controller will be for some of the megaman techniques I use mostly because of the dpad.
And yeah probably the most difficult wily castle.

Re: Mega Man 10
Those elephants UGH. I like that I can still enjoy the Mega Man games even if the difficulty for me is through the roof. I mean the games are more fun when they're not as retarded to finish (part of the reason I like 2 a lot) but hey. No one appreciates old school gaming because of the difficulty. Probably why Demon's Souls is so good but not many people have it I'm sure.

I used to do speed runs through X and X3. I just found the gameplay more dynamic than the original megaman games. i.e. wall climbing, 4/5 level blaster charges, etc.

I've been wanting to get into the X series and I have the X collection for Gamecube but the game doesn't work with the Wii component cables for some stupid reason. Might have to emulate them I guess. I have drivers for my Dualshock 3 to use in Windows.

Re: Mega Man 10
If you've never played the x series do it.
They're extremely easy compared to the originals, but hey, they're fun. At least up until x5.

Re: Mega Man 10
Agreed on the X games. Totally different take, much easier to play. The X games are like the blockbuster version of Mega Man. Everything is exploding around you, you can blow through the games once you have the pattern down pat, and it's a bit of a rush to just charge through them. Especially X3 (I think). Whichever one has you playing as Zero.
