Re: 2010 Games Thread: Still 2 years until the end of the world! Let's play Games!
PS3:
Sony's PS3 finally perked up a bit in sales with a price cut this year. 2009 didn't seem too hot for PS3 exclusives, but let's see what 2010 brings to the table!
MAG (MASSIVE ACTION GAME) - Jan. 26th:
With the promise of a smooth running 256 man multiplayer experience, mag stands to be one of the biggest games...EVER, and potential reason to own a PS3 for those who don't already. A ranking system, ability to drop in and out of the game, and tons of stuff to do. The game promises a lot. I plan on waiting to see the reviews from players and to see if they can deliver.
White Knight Chronicles - Feb. 2nd:
This game has been in development for a long ass time now. Looks like your standard RPG. EXCEPT YOU CAN TURN INTO A GIANT ROBOT KNIGHT GUNDAM LOOKING FUCKING THING! PISS! I MEAN DO YOU SEE THAT SHIT?!
Heavy Rain - Q1:
Closely follow the lives of several characters as their stories mesh and they try to solve a mystery. Game looks gorgeous, and sounds unique.
Singularity - Q1:
Time travel, saving the future and shit? Feels like I've seen that plot before... LOL. Game looks good though, but reminds me of bioshock really. You wouldn't copy a game like bioshock would you? You would try to be original right? Oh...
God of War III - March:
Another GoW game. Looks like it will be similar to the other 2. I guess that's a good thing, as I've never played them myself. Kratos was all "GAH URGH PISSED AT THE GODS" and I was... Oh.
Free Realms - Q1:
Uhm it's cute as fuck and looks like it's for little kids. On the upside of things I'm still a little kid basically. Looks like it could be really fun. The best part... IT'S ALL FREE! Well for now anyway.
That about wraps it up for PS3. Looks like they're starting things off well this year. Looks like they have some really strong games coming up. It's good to see them get back in the "game" if you know what I mean.
