IGN Top 25 Xbox 360 Games
I've always been partial to the impression that time is the most impartial judge so I personally think it is pretty stupid to put out a top 25 games list for a console when games are still being made for it, and will continue for the foreseeable future, but with that said....
Quote:
1. Mass Effect
2. COD4
3. Fallout 3
4. Oblivion
5. GTA4
6. Halo 3
7. Orange Box
8. Bioshock
9. Braid
10. Gears of War
11. Halo 3: ODST
12. Halo Wars
13. Borderlands
14. Geometry Wars
15. Rockband 2
16. Forza 3
17. Fifa 10
18. Left 4 Dead
19. Virtua Fighter 5
20. Modern Warfare 2
21. NHL 10
22. Shadow Complex
23. Dead Rising
24. Lost Odyssey
25. Dead Space
|
Personally, I am against Modern Warfare 2 being on the list, seeing how the game was out for less than a week when it was placed, but again my own opinion.

Re: GN Top 25 Xbox 360 Games
I agree with you, I also think it's weird making a "top 25" list for a current system. If it was a "25 360 games you must own" list, that would be acceptable
Anyway, I think they stretched the list a bit. A few titles just seem there to fill the 25 spots.
And one thing that disappointed me was MW2 being lower than COD4. Yes, it maybe shouldn't even be on the list, but seeing that it is, and lower than COD4, I'm starting to think my excitement for the game may be a bit high. I hope the multiplayer's as good as the first.. (although I'm guessing it's because the single player's too short and stuff)

Re: IGN Top 25 Xbox 360 Games
They correctly put Mass Effect at #1, and everything else is irrelevant. Good job, IGN.

The multiplayer is better than the first.
The campaign is just as short, but really over the top and unrealistic.

I haven't played the game yet, but this is just my feeling.
No one knows how well Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will hold up, I mean it could grow old next month for some people or last 2 years like CoD MW, we don't know that. And why I personally feel its dumb to include it already.

Re: IGN Top 25 Xbox 360 Games
No Fable II or Dragon Age, but ODST and Halo Wars on there?
I like ODST, but it's not -that- good, and Halo Wars is just a mediocre RTS.

Re: IGN Top 25 Xbox 360 Games
Reading all of that list, there was definite Halo and RPG bias in the reviewing crew. Halo 3 wasn't very good, but I'll defer to the mob. Halo Wars was a completely forgettable experience, though. GoW2 and Fable were notable omissions.
