I think the boss battles are better in 3D, but Nintendo has gotten more forgiven.

Some bosses in LttP take off like 3 heart pieces where as most 3D enemies only take off like half.

Even with the Blue and Red Mail it was a pain. I was so happy to get those items, seriously.
