Phoenix vs. Centaur
Phoenix:
Quote:
It has a 500 to 1,000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of myrrh twigs that then ignites
|
Centaur:
Quote:
Lucretius in his first century BC philosophical poem On the Nature of Things denied the existence of centaurs based on their differing rate of growth. He states that at three years old horses are in the prime of their life while at three humans are still little more than babies, making hybrid animals impossible

Centaur is not a monster. Phoenix wins.

Nor is the phoenix.
They're both mythology.

Re: Phoenix vs. Centaur
Id argue that the Centaur is more of a monster than the Phoenix, him occupying that maze and all.

Re: Phoenix vs. Centaur
What Danny said. Minotaur would be more monster-like. Centaurs aren't evil that often. AFAIK.

Re: Phoenix vs. Centaur
Firey bird burns bow and arrows. Fly's off.
Firey bird fires molten lava at centaur, eats roast centaur for dinner.
Phoenix can be re-born from it's own ashes, eternal regenititive life!
Phoenix wins by a million miles!
Phoenix is also a kick arse gun -

Re: Phoenix vs. Centaur
Definitely the phoenix. And if we're to go by the Harry Potter series, centaurs are dicks.

That was actually a minotaur which is a sort of reverse centaur - body of human, head of a bull.

Angrist, I've said it like, 4 times.
It's Monster/Mythological Monsters.
Grasp it.
I know these posts aren't Nintendo-based, but still.

Re: Phoenix vs. Centaur
But but you also said that we can base our vote on anything we want.
I base my vote on the understanding that Centaurs are cuter than Phoenixes.
But now that you mention it, I also like the Phoenix better because 2 Nintendo exclusives have that in the name.
