Capcom said they wanted to bring all the RE games to Gamecube because not everyone who owns a Gamecube (or past Nintendo systems) has played all the RE games (assuming they didn't own other systems). They said it was a way of getting players acquainted with the series. They are releasing the games in a logical order too. First we get RE, then RE0, followed by RE2, RE3, RE:CV(X), and finally the long awaited RE4. I think it's a good idea simply because I haven't played all the RE games, just RE2 (on N64) and now RE (on Gamecube). It would be nice if they released RE2 and 3 on one disk (or bundled together), but either way, the games will be cheap
