In the very beginning of the 360 version, the mall isn't exactly bursting at the seams with zombies...
Since you can see some zombies off in the distance in the third shot, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that those shots are from the very first hours of gameplay (even though this game uses a mission-based structure instead of the old time-based one)...
