Ebay sucks now

Why did they have to change it and make it all complicated? I used to be able to search for something and then refine the search easily. Lets say I wanted to know how much something has been selling for.. easy, just click "completed listings" now I search something and I don't even see that option. *sigh* I just want to find a decent yet, semi-cheap touch phone.

Are you using the new search style? It asked me if I wanted to try it, and I didn't like it so I went back to classic.

Not that I know of. I never was asked to switch it to or from the old style.

Another reason eBay isn't so great anymore is because seller's aren't allowed to leave feedback to buyers. Or maybe its the other way around. But I thought that was wack.

I know, it makes no sense. And now apparently neutral feedbacks penalize your feedback rating? I was looking at flunkie's ebay page earlier and I see that someone accidentally gave him a neutral feedback and it took away at his percentage of positive feedback.

And btw, if you read this flunkie. That was bullshit that you "accidentally" got neutral feedback from that guy because his acct. got hacked or whatever.

I understand why they did it, because the revenge-feedback was a problem, but the complete removal of feedback for buyers was a horrible way to deal with it.

As it is, I don't know what there is to stop people from bidding and then simply never paying, beyond the overly obtuse experience that is going through eBay to file complaints

It's far less dangerous for a Seller than for a buyer, though. If someone buys something and then never pays for it, at least the seller keeps the item, since they don't ship until they receive their money.

I think a better option might have been for the feedback to not appear until both parties had left it, though.

What's really terrible is the introduction of anonymous bidding, so that you can know longer know who you're bidding against and whether or not they're bidding on similar items.

And they took out buying and selling histories.

Now that I think about it, that's perfect.

And I don't really like the 5-star seller rating system. It doesn't really reflect individual cases very well. But I guess it's better than nothing.

Yep. Some dude got his account hacked, won my auction, didn't pay, had to send the game back, leaves me neutral feedback destroying my 100% feedback rating, then leavs a follow-up saying "whoops my bad, I'm such a dumbass that I clicked Neutral on mistake huhuhuhu".

Pisses me off.

You can go back to the old search style, though.

How do they quanitfy neutral feedback? If your percentage goes, down its negative; what would be the difference if both neutral and negative cause a drop?

It isn't a point system. By getting a Neutral feedback you are no longer have 100% positive feedbacks.

Ah, but neutral would seem, to me, to be just that; neutral. It ought have no visible effect. Its not neutral if it does something.
