You're way wrong. TO DATE? DVD was an incredibly successful format that has been mainstream for 10+ years, hasn't it? I'd guess Blu Ray sales might be around 1% of DVD sales to date.
If you look at the number of early adopters of the Blu Ray format, the percentage of people who have used their PS3's for Blu Rays, the number of million PS3's that will be in homes in 5 years, the consistent price drops of Blu Ray players, the number of more HDTVs that will be in homes in 5 years and want to make some predictions, I think you may look at it from the same angle I am. People were hesistant to say HD-DVD was dead until they literally stopped making them. Why wait that long? I'm not saying Blu Ray will reach DVD success, but at the same time it won't be discontinued anytime soon.
