Re: The 2008 GameTavern Election: Candidate Declaration
I think consolation prize for being the first person kicked out of Tavernwars should be a mod position.

Re: The 2008 GameTavern Election: Candidate Declaration
Jeff, I'm sorry. I don't want to be the bad guy. But I don't know what's worse - the fact you're openly admitting to smurfing an account known as Cheez-Its, which is a bannable offense nearly everywhere, or the fact you just used three of our real names, when you cried foul when we called you by yours. I'm sorry, you no longer qualify for modship, despite what ancient tablets may have been telling you, and I'm afraid we are going to have to suspend your account for a while before you try pulling a stunt like this again.
Furthermore, please do not try to circumvent this ban by registering any more users. We were fully aware of Cheez-Its the moment you registered it.
Your ban will be lifted in exactly a week. Please exercise your willingness to abide by our rules; we might consider shortening this ban on terms of good behaviour.

Re: The 2008 GameTavern Election: Candidate Declaration
Dear Jeff Ford,
This is not me speaking as a moderator on these forums, but someone who went to bat for someone who asked for help. At your request I used more moderator power than I have in YEARS to help protect your identity, and you return that favor by acting like spoiled kid and playing pathetic "mind games" that fooled no one. The fact is you're an arrogant little child regardless of your real age.
The next time you want to whine about your treatment on these forums, if you return, go talk to someone else. I done. As far as I'm concerned it's open season on on Jeff Ford. If anyone wants to "expose" him, I won't be the one to stop them.
Until I get an apology (if you're even capable of one) for wasting my time and putting my name on the line: Fuck Off.
Professor S

No offense, but can't you keep this to emails and PM's? Regardless of how he's acted you don't need to swear at him or belittle him on public forums. Particularly when you're supposed to be in a position to be looked up to.
Incidentally, even I knew something was up: http://www.gametavern.net/forums/sho...509#post218509

No, this needs to be done in the open, IMO. He's needed a public undressing for a while now. To be honest, you're not the one who got the "sincere" PM about the forums being "misused" and his identity being threatened and possible legal issues. You're not the one who put himself out there to try and protect someone who cares about nothing put their own agenda. Then he twists all of that trust and honesty around to amuse himself. I'm sick of it and I'm sick of the free pass he seems to get all the time for his stupid shenanigans followed by self-righteous dogma.
There are other people on this forum other than Jeff Ford and he can't be allowed to think he can simply do as he pleases.
I'm sure more people, included fellow mods and admins disagree with my actions here, but I'm doing what I think needs to be done. He needs a serious dose of humility.
If no one likes it, get rid of me. Thats always been my stand.

Man, this is crazy. In whatever way it kind of makes the forums exciting....Like watching the result of a car accident.

I like how even though I nominated myself, I didn't get the PM.
