Default No More Heroes

I will make this thread all pretty and stuff when it isn't 3 in the morning.

But twas far, this is a fantastic game. Unlike Killer 7, this has style and substances.

The game looks good for the most part because of the style. It is however the first game I really noticed bad jagged edges.

The gameplay however is pretty damn sweet. Sure at its core it is a button masher to some degree, but it is a sweet button masher. There are a lot of mixups such as evasive moves, blocks and of course a mixture of combinations with wrestling moves.

Personally, I love using the wrestling move because love wrestling. So far I've noticed a full nelson slam, piledriver, german suplex, and some others. You also learn new ones as the game goes on.

My biggest gripe with the game is the overworld structure. the overworld is kind of sparse at times. And the vehicle controls so so. And right now there is no speed if moving on foot but you need to be on foot to find the stuff hidden throughout the world.

I'm surprised, IGN haven't been able to shut up about No More Heroes. They love it. And I quote, "It's not like this amazing 9.5 game." However, they ended up with the lowest score so far. Curious.

IGN really bitched a lot about the overworld, that was their major gripe. I wonder how bad it actually is.

Their problem, as I heard is, was that if you failed a mission in the overworld, it would disappear and wouldn't be available again until you saved and quit and restarted. So it's kind of annoying if you keep failing missions.

O have you played? Please tell me!

That isn't entirely true.
You don't have to save and quit, but you do need to go get the assignment again which is dumb.

Unless, he is referring to the free mission then that is true to an extent but you also run across those randomly so haha.

This game is badass. And has some really messed up scenes.

Damn, I just got this game yesterday. As a front end guy, this game is literally wanking me off. The interface is absolutely breathtaking. Very inspiring for my own future work.

As for the combat, it's the most fun I've had with a Wii game so far.
