I don't blame them, I really don't.

If a hot girl walked in with a computer I know I would scour it for pictures. These guys are getting paid to do a boring job in an unprofessional environment...gotta entertain yourself somehow. It's not just porn either, these guys swipe your movies and music too.

I guess the closest analogy I can provide is the car analogy. I don't know anything about fixing cars, so if I were to have a car problem I would send my car in to the car place to get it fixed. Before sending my car in I would remove all the valuable stuff I have in it because you don't know what will happen when you're not there.

A hard drive is a lot like a car. If you put pictures of your naked girlfriend in your glove compartment it would probably get looked at. Leave pictures of your girlfriend on your desktop...same thing.

I don't necessarily think it's right what they are doing, but being a guy and knowing that mostly guys work at the Geek Squad, I know I would snoop around on people's computers.
