Wii!

I got one this morning, all it took was a 5 hour wait in the (near) freezing cold... Got there around 3AM (ended up being 12th in line), store opened at 8 (handed out tickets at 7)... I'd say the line didn't reach sell-out capacity (they had 69 units in stock) until around 6-6:30 or so, but there were definately a lot of people lined up (and attempting to line up) by 7...

I just picked up Zelda for now, but I decided to first create a Mii and set up the internet connection settings... And now that I've done that, it's updating itself... Slowly...

Plus the Redskins are on with their new quarterback

So I'll get to the games later on... I kinda wanna pick up SMB (havn't played any of the previous games before) and maybe Excite Truck eventually...

Edit: For the record, one of the few stores around here that had a midnight launch (Toys r Us in the next county over) apparently had about a hundred people in line by around 6, and double that by 11...

My Gamestop had a midnight opening, so I took my brother to that. They went in order of preorders (I was first) so that was nice. I snagged my Wii, Zelda, Rayman Raving Rabbids, 2,000 Wii Points, and an extra Wii-mote and Nun-Chuck.

I read in a review that there was a way to turn this little speaker on the controller off, but I can't seem to find it in any of the Zelda or Wii setting options...

Which is unfortunate seeing as how the speaker is completely pointless, and tends to sound more like it's blaring static than any actual sound...

Hit the home button while in zelda, go down to the Remote control thing, and you can turn off the volume from there (or make it really low)

I stood for five hours outside futureshop with my girlfriend and got one with Zelda.

It's pretty much amazing. Her whole family loved it!

Granted I'm not sure how exactly that works...
