Terrorists arrested after trying to blow up 20 planes in UK

20 terrorists were just arrested sneaking bombs onto planes with suitcases (carryons).

Apparently they were going to get on seperate planes, and blow them up. The bomb detectors are useless against a new "liquid" bomb.

US raises to Orange Alert.

It's true. NPR is reporting on it right now. Actually, we're on red alert. Passengers are not allowed to bring any carry-ons at all at this time.

been watching about this all morning.

I guess the "professionals" are saying this was trying to be some kind of 9/11 anniversary thing, and they were guessing these people were trying to kill in excess of 30,000 people.

Atleast that's what they said on the local news.

hah I dno man, if I were a terrorist I would so something better...like move into an apartment in downtown vancouver flood a sewage line with gas or some other fluid and blow the entire city block up...

At least it got disrupted. Shows that security is at least working..for the most part. Mistakes will happen, someone will overlook something but for today, their effort failed. For now.

You would be suprised what can be weaponized. In yor own pantry you have bleach and ammonia. Mix them together and you have chlorine gas, one of the most deadly gasses known to man. Dissolve the correct proportion of styrofoam with gasoline, and you get an amazingly flamable and dangerous napalm gel.

You can make almost anything dealy, if you have to will and lack of conscience to do it.
