Test your hearing
http://www.ochenk.com/entry.php?id=63
I'm 21 and 17,000 Hz seems to be my limit with my headphones. After trying my speakers instead I could hear up to 21,000 Hz. How about you guys?

Re: Test your hearing
20,000 with my crappy laptop speakers.
Haven't tried with headphones.
The sound is annoying though.

Re: Test your hearing
24,000, I think. Does speaker volume matter?
I can't tell if it's impedence from my speaker, or if my speaker can even play the past-21,000 frequencies. I do know that I am hearing something, so I shall have to see. Silly question about volume mattering.

Re: Test your hearing
15,000 was my limit, but that was a pretty big drop after 14,000... Like, 14 was pretty loud, but 15 I could barely hear...

Re: Test your hearing
I don't know if he's doing it right or not. He's not saying. Frequencies emitted from speakers are halved in their Hertz value, or something like that. So while this scale may be fun to compare yourselves to, the extremely extraneous variable is the overall setup you have.

21,000 is the last I could hear. 22,000 and above I didn't hear a single thing

Re: Test your hearing
I can still hear 19,000, barely, anything after that, nothing.

Re: Test your hearing
I'm sure I heard the 18000Hz. After that, I think I heard it, but the noise from my soundboxes got in the way.

Re: Test your hearing
Dyne is right, if you can hear the frequencies will depend on your speaker set up, since speakers are made to have a certain frequency range.
