Well it's obvious that the films don't totally follow the X-Men storyline.

If it did, they wouldn't have immediately killed Sabertooth.

I believe I read somewhere that this would be the last X-Men film so the probability of ever seeing Gambit on the big screen is looking bleak.

I do believe however that there will be a Wolverine spin-off movie.

We'll beg them for a Gambit movie. I liked the episode where the guy from the future (... Bishop or the other one?) said Gambit was going to kill the president.
