I still don't understand why this happens. Couldn't they have prevented it? I mean, the guys flip it around pretty carefully, and you can flip most CD players around and not get the scratch.

There's a difference between putting a piece of electronic equipment under water and carefully moving it.

I've never read a hardware manual for a console, nor do I ever plan on it. I just assume that I will have high-quality hardware that can stand a few bump and bruises along the way.

I think the "spindle" that holds the DVD in the Xbox360 might not be holding the DVD perfectly in place like most CD/DVD Players do so it has more room to "wobble" and in this case, scratch if your dumb enough to be flipping your 360 while its on

That movie isn't 1 constant reel. He could have changed the disc while he had turned the camera off.
