I read about those... But eh, they sound kind of shifty...

The TV one requires you to take the faceplate off, which voids the warranty (and Sony won't repair modified units anyways)...

And the speed... Sony intentionally locked PSP's 333Mhz processor dealy down at 222Mhz... But I think they are expected to eventually bump them up to 333... Like when they get a better battery or some junks... Either way I heard the hack drains the battery faster (of course) and could possibly cause the system to overheat?

But PSP has all that it needs in the form of Emulators... Well, and a handful of good PSP games...

bumping the processor speed to 333 will not overheat the system. the system is meant to run at that speed (because thats what it is, setting it to its normal speed is much different then overclocking it). its at 222 only to save power.

LCD has always had issues with dead pixels sometimes. Some manufacturers are more lazy then others and have more dead pixel issues

I had a dead pixel on the upper screen of my DS. I simply shipped it off to Nintendo free of charge and got it back two days later dead pixel free.

2 days? id of thought even if you overnighted it each way it woulda took a day to process and make the order to send back the new one.
