uhh, sorry for the double, but i just noticed a few things:

first and formost the release date actually coincides with IGN's release date speculation (same day as PS3 in order to compete)

second, if you look at the picture displayed there, its just the Halo 2 logo with the 2 cut out of the pic

Honestly a price increase in inevitable. Videogames have been a static $50 for years now and I'm surprised inflation hasnot hit them before this. It is taking more and more resurces to produce video games just to meet the graphical needs of today's consumer.

I fully expect the prices for games to rise in the near future. Do I like it? No. Do I understand it? Yes.

So many people seem to think 360 games are going to cost $59.99... But I don't believe this was ever confirmed, and most stores that take pre-orders for new systems set a nice price cushion by marking the game $5-10 higher than games from the gen. before cost...

Check this:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/09...s_6132648.html

Limited Collector's Edition of PD:Z: $59.99...
Normal Edition: $49.99...

I doubt 360 games are gonna cost 60 bucks a pop...
