Thats not my policy, nor should it be anyone's policy on a public forum. Putting a rating before a thread is like making a movie rater R and then just showing it with no one to check IDs. Whats the point if its not enforceable? In fact I think those warnings do more to attract those that should see them, than deter.

There were about 75-100 f-bombs in that video. There is no way the link was going to stay up. If you have a problem with my policies, you can always let an admin know.

You put the warning on it. Its like putting a flammable label on something. If someone doesnt read it, and burns themselves, thats their fault.

And yes this is a public forum, that is true, but when you tone it down to a G level with no swearing and such (no nudity is a given) thats just rediculous. Most, if not all of us are high teens, or 20's, and have heard those words before.

NSFW titles have been put on threads before. There has not been problems with that in the past. So I dont see why there is now.

And no, Its not like checking ID for an R rated movie. ITs like slapping a label on something, then leaving the wronging done up to the idiot who didnt take it into consideration.

Well if there has been stuff on these boards that were as laden with swearing as that video, and I didn't remove it, then I missed it. I don't remove threads or content to protect those at work, I do it to keep the content on this forum fit for all ages. Doing so protects the forum from all kinds of problems considering video gaming is still largely a youth oriented pasttime. I like to think that GameTavern is a forum that parents can feel confortable letting their kids peruse without supervision.

As for trying to make this a G-rated forum, thats just a severe exaggeration on your part. I keep the forum at the level that we keep our automatic board censor. I call that CONSISTENCY.

Once again, if you have a problem with it, contact an admin. We can all stop bitching about it here, though.
