Well Dakota Fanning did an excellent job playing the role of a young girl amidst all this turmoil. As much as you say she's annoying, you have to think how you would act in those kind of situations, I could safely say for myself, that if aliens attacked... I wouldn't be so cool and collected, I'd be screaming my ass off.

True, I never denied that she is an excellent actress. Perhaps I should say that the character that she was portraying annoyed me a little...

i actually meant the girl is annoying...in all the movies i've seen so far with her.
