It said pick a system that you will buy. Based on what I've seen and heard, Revolution excites me more. Sure, PS3 packs a powerful punch, and is a great looking system, but it still is lacking any excitement in my mind.
The Revolution sounds great to me. Downloading NES, SNES, and N64 games? Awesome. Plays all my Cube games? Awesome. Online Smash Bros at launch, plus a brand new Miyamoto game? Awesome. The unknown REVOLUTION itself? Can't wait to find out about it.
That's how people could pick Revolution.

You've seen and heard (official) information regarding Revolution that is more impressive than what Sony showed us during their pre-E3 conference?
Honestly now...with fans like you, Nintendo doesnt even have to try anymore. And that's sad...

I said that PS3 has more power. I also will tell you outright that it has a great set of upcoming games, and that anyone would be an idiot to think it's not a great system. Power isn't all that makes a system impressive to me.
This did not ask for what system had a better E3. It didn't ask for what system will be more powerful. It asked what system I expect to own upon release. I chose Revolution, because I love Mario. I love Zelda. I love Metroid. I love Nintendo.
Sony's got tons of great software, some that really appeals to me (MGS, Katamari Damacy, Ico, etc), and some that doesn't. Same with Microsoft, even though they aren't in this poll. But in the end, I love the 4-player action and classic franchises I know and love that only Nintendo seems to offer (Yes, I've played all current-gen systems, for LONG hours, and I stand by my conclusion that the best 4 player party system is GameCube).
If last week we ran this poll, I'm quite sure many people would've already picked most of the same they did here. People have companies they like, and that's who they will choose.
Why the hatin', man? I keep an open mind, and I don't trash any other systems, and yet everyone has me pegged for a bigtime Nintendo fanboy.

no hating whatsoever...I simply stated that when it comes to fans like you, Nintendo doesnt even have to try anymore. They just have to be 'Nintendo'...and you just made it more clear.

Re: REVOLUTION vs. PS3
Here's another fool who picked Revolution. Not stating that Nintendo will sell better this generation... I'm just more interested in NRS.

For a Sony fanboy as myself... I keep as much of an open mind as I can... and everyone pegs me not only as a Sony fanboy but as annoying...
Don't take anything whole-heartedly... there are worse things that can be said about you...

And at the same time, nobody pegs Perfect Stu as annoying. How interesting...
You know what's even more interesting? The way everybody is declaring that the PS3 is more powerful than the Revolution when we haven't seen any official specs on the Revolution nor have we seen any demos of its games. You can say that Nintendo should have shown all that stuff, and maybe you'd have a good case. But you can't say for certain that the PS3 is really all that much more powerful than other consoles. At this point, I'm not even sure that PS3 games will look all that much better than Xbox 360 games. Once you take Perfect Dark's rather embarrassing showing out of the equation, Xbox 360 screenshots stack up pretty well side by side with PS3 screenshots. It takes a tech-head going over it with a magnifying glass to see the differences.

this can mean one of two things:
a) you're pegging me as annoying, which proves your statement to be false
b) you're expressing how one can be a 'Sony fanboy' without being annoying
which is it?

Re: REVOLUTION vs. PS3
Well thats the problem with how many look at the extra power, they think oh its graphics!
thats not the way i see the extra power. i mean sure, i love graphics and i love for them to be better, but the way i see the extra power helping out even more doesnt have to do with graphics, it'll be making worlds bigger, it'll be in making many many more enemies on screen at once with better AI. while keeping thoes good graphics.
Take GTA for example, im sure no one would agure all the models in that game the current counsoles could make look MUCH better, i mean they could make cars look like they are in GT4. however they cant do that and have as big of a world as GT has with everything going on at once. The extra power helps to let that happen.
its too be seen how much the extra power helps the games, we wont know till we see the games, however, while some games look pretty much the same on 2 consoles, extra power on one will let a whole lot more happen on screen.
if there proves to be a big difference, which we'll just have to wait and see.

Re: REVOLUTION vs. PS3

they compared the power in a chart in midst of the techno babble showing cell being able to do a lot more then x360's chipset
