Re: Don't miss the PSO BB Beta
im really enjoying this game...reminds me so much of pristontale...
but i got a question....how do i f***ing aim?!.....im lvl 2...i cant seem to aim properly..i keep wasting my tp aiming balls of fire randomly....so i tend to aim a cluster and i usually hit..i know its supposed to auto aim...but when you move a tiny bit the triangles disappear/move to the monster next to it... im confused...
and one more question...i cant seem to find out how to use the shortcuts down at the bottom... the 1 2 3 4 5 6 ....etc. ones...i know how to use crtl and the arrow keys on the bottom right ...but ive only got 6 shortcuts....
i think its really different from the usual mmorpgs i play...i need to get used to it...quite complicating....more quests...fun ~

Re: Don't miss the PSO BB Beta
yeah, i got some skills now...fire, ice, lightning, heal...i also figured out how to use the 1-0 quick button things...erm...the only thing that sucks is that it's not really an MMORPG as you can't play with more than 3 people at a time doing quests and what-not...and i don't find it very fun becuase all the quests are in the exact same forest...i got into a cave twice...somehow...i have absolutly no clue how it appeared as my warp destination...but it was good for a change.
anyway, all in all...this game isn't bad...neither is it good though...i would give it a 5/5...but maybe that's just cause it's in Beta...and it really sucks that open beta is only for one month.
EDIT: lol...i meant 5/10...not 5/5

Re: Don't miss the PSO BB Beta
I started playing it today...Ive never really played a PSO game before, besides maybe real quick like at a friends house...seems to be a fairly steep learning curve.

Re: Don't miss the PSO BB Beta
Sort of. You can't expect to pick up and play and know all the techniques, all the weapons, etc. But the simple 3-hit combo is enough to get you going, and then learn as you go.
But games like this need a steep learning curve. If you knew and could do everything from the start, it wouldn't be as much fun 200 hours later. I didn't play the game much when I first got it, didn't really get it. Then I went online and played with friends who taught me stuff as I went along, and I fell in love with it.
Still, on DC I only played as a HUmar. It wasn't until Gamecube that I started with a ranger and FUmarl. But it took until Xbox for me to actually make a good FOmarl that could survive on her own, and make a pretty good RAmar as well. It's the never ending game.
But I recommend you don't start with a Force. It's more of a supporting character. Your job is to heal people, and cast spells that make them stronger so they can survive and defeat the enemies. You just do a quick spell, hit everything in the room, and wait for them to do the work so you get the experience. You sit back away from the fight and make sure they don't die. But at lower levels, your techs are too low of a level to affect anyone but yourself, and you can only attack a single enemy at a time, which means you run out of TP fast. Building a Force is tough work, but the payoff is well worth it. By the end you're running through the game killing entire rooms at a time.
And don't try to figure out mags until you figure out the game. If you get into it, you'll spend many many hours and tons of money planning and leveling mags. I've had entire feeding charts planned to get the mags I wanted. It's crazy.

yea..i play support characters in most/all RPG games i play ...i play a fOmarl on PSO...and its really hard to level up on my on...i die in 2 hits...find myself runnning away from things most of the time...you need a partner or a good party to survive the first few levels.
