Meh. It's not as ugly as people make it sound, but I was expecting more.

Re: Eh, a live shot of the Xbox 360
Wireless, the crucial step from going from a gaming console, to the living-room multimedia center. Mothers no longer have to scream at kids because there are cords tangled together stretching across the floor, or because they ran a 300' ethernet cable from the living room, down the stairs, across the basement, and to the cable modem on the other side of the house. Now gaming consoles will be welcome in the living room, where we can watch our movies, record live TV, stream music from our PCs, and display slideshows all on one device.
But they forgot about one group yet again, the gamer. What happens when my battery dies half-way through a turn in the final lap of the endurance race? What happens when my battery dies and I find out I have no more? What happens when we go to gaming tournaments, and there's more controllers in a small room then there are channels to select? What happens when my controller breaks and I'm short on cash because game costs are rising that I can't afford $40 controllers?
Wireless controllers are great. A 802.11g network card is great. But you should always have a backup. So my question is, where are the controller ports?
Where's my Dreamcast?

I dont like wireless, i'd prefer not to deal with it. i dont know why i'd ever need to take my controller that far away from the console
However what i would like. is a wireless controller, but have a cord that you can choose to keep off, or decide to plug into the controller and other end into the console if you prefer.
OR, at the very least, put a rechargable battery in the controller, and come with a cord you can plug it directly into any wall socket. wire wont go across the living room, perhaps theres a power outlet next to the couch.
i prefer the first option. but if it has to be wireless, i'd like an option to make it wired in some way, without having to have a seperate controller.

So it's wireless by default?
Let me guess you can only buy MS batteries charged at $20 a pair.
And you need 5 pairs to run one controller

Re: Eh, a live shot of the Xbox 360
There should be some sort of dock to set the controller in.

Re: Eh, a live shot of the Xbox 360
I didn't like the second little wire of the old controllers. I lost 'em
Wireless is a little better.
