PS3: Quite the mockup...or is it?

blacks always been around in every generation. usually by sega.

and im pretty confident the PS3 will be black, black usually gives them a slicker look, while white makes them look more fragile and expensive, black gives a more sporty look so to say.

Yeah, but up until this Gen, the White/Grey system won every sales battle. NES>Master System, SNES>Genesis, PSX>N64.

(yeah, I suppose you could say Coleco>2600 or whatever, but none of those pre NES systems were really that successful, as is eveident by the crash of 82' so, meh)

The PSP and the PS2 might've been black, but the new PSX Entertainment Center console with DVD/Receiver/ and the likes of a whole entertainment center, is White. And when Sony was speaking of the PS3 they said they wanted to have some of the PSX's essence in the PS3, so I have a pretty firm belief it'll be white.

i dissagree, i find that if sony was planning on making the ps3 white, you woulda saw the white version of the PSP be relased first. it would kinda show thier direction. i think the PS3 is going to 'match' the psp. meaning a very shinny black coat along the front and top.
