I don't think I'll pay $59 for any next generation game. It's too much for me. Exceptions noted (Hey You Pikachu!). Best $75 I ever spent.

Unless the game comes bundled with an additional piece of hardware, it's either going to have to be $50 or nothing.

This is reminding me of N64 prices. $59.99 MSRP with prices being higher on some games. It was a major turnoff for the N64 and history seems to be repeating itself

Come on guys, don't be ignorant.

If a game cost $50 in 1996 (when N64 came out) it would cost $62.24 now if the price of the game had risen with inflation.

Stop acting like you're not going to spend $60.

I'd love to see EA sports games retailing for 70, that way we can see if the EA Sports dopes like our Kyuzo here will put their money where there mouths have been the last few years "oh I'd buy Madden if it cost $100."

I could easily see EA retailing their games for more than normall, then that all of a sudden becoming the standard, because thats the kind of company they are. Good for nothing company that makes everyone else suffer.

Your point is not totally valid because making discs is cheaper than making cartridges.

70 bucks is a bit much... 60 bucks eehhhhhh I usually only buy games new when they first come out if they're ones I REALLY want, so I'd be willing to pay 60...

but that's not even really confirmed yet...

As for graphics... I doubt the jump to next gen will be as big as it was last time...

But you never know... Maybe we'll all be blown away when we see games in MOTION... All the better effects, lighting, smoother animation and framerates, and overall better graphics... All working together...

I highly doubt gaming will crash and burn next gen Anybody who thinks it will is just buying into Nintendo's hype about how gaming is going down the crapper and needs some amazing new completely different way to play games (being delivered with the Revolution!)... Which might just backfire on them and scare away a majority of the gaming community which happens to be perfectly fine with gaming the way it is...

It's all speculation at this point...

I dont think it will crash and burn but if games are constanly $60-$70, I'm gonna be hard pressed to be convinced to buy a game for that much
