I've been waiting for this game FOREVER. I completely wore out the first one, as I've done everything there is to be done (except get the ultimate weapons). It was the first game I actually bothered to try to collect everything, even the dalmations, meaning I got to see the secret preview for part 2 at the end...

I'm going to have to agree with Darkmaster on the release date, however, because I checked gamefaqs and they have the American release date set for 09/14/05, and the Japanese release date isn't even announced yet.

This game has been in the making for a very very long time...and if we look on the bright side we will realize that this means it will probably be all the better for it.

If you have the money, I would recommend getting a GBA SP (or a Nintendo DS...it plays GBA games), and then buying Chain of Memories. It's getting awesome reviews at Gamefaqs right now, and I'll probably be getting it myself soon.

Or you could just try to get into some other games. There are plenty of other good ones out there.

Or, have you collected everything there is to get in KH? You can occupy your time trying to get all the weapons.

a ton of people are looking forward to KH2...but there are plenty of great games in the PS2 library to enjoy in the meantime.

The reason its taking so long to finish is because Nomura (the director) has like 6 projects going on right now (he just finished CoM, still working on Advent Children, Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus, and some other stuff).

So we're just gonna have to be patient.

Grrrrrr. Well, if I must wait, I must. Too bad I completely played Kingdom Hearts to death. I got everything there possibly was to get, and then I did it again. Two more times in fact. So I'm afraid I'll have to buy the GBA, those dirty rotten market researchers, they planned this whole thing didn't they. Oh well I guess it isn't as bad as I'm making it out to be. I've waited a year already, so what's one more. Oh, and thanks for all your suggestions, maybe I will go bug Deathshand for his Sims 2 game.
