Re: Annoying Culture trends
i son't know if it has been mentioned...but what annoys me is the "black teenager" trend thing...with pants own to their knees, shirts that are 7 times their size, condom things on their head, followed by a cap that's worn sideways...that whole look annoys me...
the next thing would have to be...hmm...i guess everything else is ok...OH! and spongebob!

Just fake people and haters.
Is it cool to be someone different now? Is it cool to hate everyone else? The people here are weird

Re: Annoying Culture trends
Oh yeah, and another thing... This whole "Synthetic" deal...
Look around internet communities (livejournal, myspace, what have you) and you'll find bajllions of them (half the time with "synthetic" somewhere in their name... "SytheticBeauty" and such)...
People who wear fake colorful hair extensions and paint themselves up to look like some sort of friggin alien...
Example
I guess it's more or less sorta goth/raverish, but don't tell them that, they're more unique than those subcultures and can't be classified...

I dont see how the entire teenage nation dressing remotely the same signifies "different" status.
Unless im missing the part of this conversation that proves me wrong.
EDIT: DH....that was plain scary...

Re: Annoying Culture trends
One thing I have learned it that I can almost always tell if a white guy is in to the whole rap music scene and thinks being a jerk is cool.
If he's wearing a red, white and blue hat. Nothing against americans. It's just something I've noticed. Almost every guy who wears one of those caps, sideways I might add, almost always listen to rap or some of the new music that is "cool" and I stress cool.

Well everyone arent the same here. There are distinct cliques, but there is also a group of people who believe themselves to be originals yet are the exact same person as the 30 something other people in their group.
There arent many clones here, but I'm annoyed by the people who think they are special because they don't conform with other people's styles or beliefs and are just themselves. In the end they're just part of a group of different people who are the same....O_O

You guys find it scary? I find it highly amusing... I could look at them all day and be simultaneously amused and irritated...

that's exactly why I find those goths or 'sythetic peoples' so amusingly annoying... They try to be different and unique, but they all still fit into one group, making them not different and unique from eachother... Even though they try to distance themselves from the label they fall under, and are obviously influenced by... But hey, remember kids, everyone's unique in their own way... Which makes it even more silly to paint and pierce yourself up like that just to be an "individual"...
And what really gets to me is when people who make themselves look "Different from the norm" label it as them being creative, then say things like this (taken from someone's actual profile):
Quote:
"I despise "normal" things in the sense that I like things that stand out; I want genius."
"I want to meet smart, creative people who have substance and beauty.
I want to meet exquisite creatures.
I want to meet the Elite."

There was a guy wearing that outfit at the last Cardinal game I went to. Just about every other inning, when everyone else was sitting, he would stand up and look around while talking on his cell phone. He did this for the entire game. As if the person he was talking to was also at the game but he couldn't find them. I'm near positive the man was dying for attention.
Anyway, anytime he would do this, me and my friends would yell in unison:
"Hey pink! Sit down!"
or
"Col-lar, Col-lar, Col-lar!"
Hilarious.

I don't think he ever heard us. Basically it just made us feel better about having to see someone dressed up like a huge tool.

I remember that happening to me, but I had blue shorts, white socks and flip-flops on. I'm sure jeepnut would've made more fun of me if he had seen the works.
