Re: The Halo 2 NO SPOILERS Thread
I walked into EB, they gave me my limited edition, and I walked out. Not a vert exciting adventure, but an adventure none the less.
I've played about an hour so far, stopped after getting to a very interesting part (you'll see...). Great game, kicking some alien ass and taking names. Can't wait to take it online and stick it to the man.

Yeah, I am pretty excited. Just need to find someone I can play the game with. Multiplayer should be sweet.

Re: The Halo 2 NO SPOILERS Thread
I spent a good 5+ hours playing this game so far and I have to say I'm very happy. The game is pretty much everything I could have hoped for. They kept true to the roots of the gameplay, added some really cool tweaks and features (jacking is just friggin' awesome), improved an already superior AI (the first time an elite jacked me in my tank my jaw dropped) and its a truly beautiful game. I also like the added emphasis on melee combat and timing, which makes sense considering how close quarters a good portion of the combat is.
There are some problems with the marine AI, mainly pathfinding issues, but they are minor. Also, the game ain't easy, even on normal. I'm stuck at one point and I want to pull my har out, but that is an issue for a spoiler thread

Re: The Halo 2 NO SPOILERS Thread
The only complaint I have about this game is the lack of a sprint button or function. Why did they take it out?

Re: The Halo 2 NO SPOILERS Thread
I was wondering about that too, it would be nice to be able to burst into a sprint when you have the flag.
As of now, I've played about 7 hours of Multiplayer, and 2 and a half of single player. Multiplayer is so damn addicting it's keeping me away from the single player experience!
I was running my own party for about 4 hours today, and a good 20-some people played with me and my friend, so it was fun.
The multiplayer is crazy. Some of the default settings blow though, so I'm going to take a good hour tonight making some good customized versions of slayer and capture the flag.
Waterworks is friggin' huge though. I did a sword-only round in it with 16 people, using the Slayer game mode, and it took forever.
Halo 2 has to be the funnest multiplayer game I have touched since CS. It reminds me of Goldeneye, only with swords and low gravity. I plan to keep M-playing, so yeah.

I've only played around 2 hours but I really like this game. I can't wait to play on multiplayer, I'll probably be getting Xbox Live this weekend.

Re: The Halo 2 NO SPOILERS Thread
Screw captain keyes story... I'd give Hollywood my first born baby if they did a movie based on the I love Bees story...
That is the best story I've experienced in years.... those who haven't heard it, it's long, but oh so freaking good!
http://ilovebees.com/humptydumpty.html
i'd download em to your computer, burn em on a disk, and listen to them while you drive or something, it shouldn't be missed. BEST STORY EVER!!
it basically has to do with what happens on earth before the covenant attack, and the beginnings of the spartan program, even before masterchief shows up in it.
