This should also be in the dungeon, at the bottom of the official site there is a PS logo.
But the game looks good. I love war games and war based games. i dont know why.

Its only for Xbox. I searched the PS site without a single shread of info for it. On the Ubisoft site it says its only for Xbox at the Bottom and its only in the Xbox section of the site not in the PS section. I could be wrong the only thing that matters is that it will kick Nazi ass.

The guys from Penny Arcade are working on part of it. They were advertising it at PAX too.

Re: Brothers in Arms
I don't know about you, but I'm getting really tired of WWII based FPS. Somebody should do a FPS set during the Revolutionary War. Just because. It would be different and cool. They'd just have to balance out the lack of steady rate of fire and accuracy somehow.
It'd be awesome.

Re: Brothers in Arms
My idea for a game i told Moogle a long time ago is like, a MMFPS like Battlefield, except in roman times. So instead of tanks and AA guns, there are trebuchets, instead of jeeps, and tanks, you have horses. You have Bowmen, which act as the snipers of the day, and you have many types of sword based people, to act as militia.
I think it would be a good basis for a game, just because it hasnt been done before.

Re: Brothers in Arms
Look at the rear sight of the Tommy gun, It's probably a glich or it might have been shot off!! That would be very realistic if it did get shot off.

It's been done. Half-Life has The Battlegrounds. You run around with muskets, one shot muskets mind you, and you capture command points across the field of warfare. It's fun as hell, especially at LANs.
BUT, the one shot thing is a huge turn off for a lot of people. I like it though....get STEAM, and download the mod, it's free. We can play.

Here are some reviews
IGN 9.3
Team Xbox 9.4
There are some funny lines too. " If you see something move shoot it, If it screams in German shoot it again."

Its not just using muskets, though. Are the players wearing the uniforms of the American and British soldiers? Can you relive historic battles such as Bunker Hill?
Besides, just because one fairly old FPS has a mod that uses muskets doesn't mean someone can't come along and make an actual Revolutionary War or Civil War game. It didn't stop everyone from making WWII games when Medal of Honor (was that the first?) did it.
And, uh, I don't actually have a computer. My laptop died...so I'm using my mom's PC...and besides not being able to download anything, the computer isn't exactly "1337" at all.
So... No can do on downloading it...

Re: Brothers in Arms
Bunker Hill is one of the maps. Yes, you are American and British, and yes, you have the costumes. You even have minutemen and foot soldiers.....
The whole point of the game was to reinact the battles of the Revolutionary War.
As far as single player experience goes, I could see a few decent levels spawing from the fights, but you have to take into consideration that the American Revolution was a very simple war. Even the Civil War was pretty simple....although, both wars are unique in their own ways.

According to ign and every other place I've been reading about this game since E3 says its for ps2, xbox, and pc. Personally I'll be getting it for pc. BTW, you absolutely have to see this video of the game if you haven't already. Long download but definately worth it..keep in mind this was in may and the game comes out in like 6 months so any glitches or bugs or stuff lke that you see will have most likely been fixed by release date........ ftp://ftp.ubi.com/us/games/brothersi...in_arms_e3.wmv
BTW, didn't this win like best action game for pc or something at E3?

Re: Brothers in Arms
I have the video on a demo disc. Its really good. I like the 2 weapon system from Halo and how your team checks on people who were shot to see if they are alive. I wonder how you kill those tanks at the end of the level?...

I cant believe they recreated the land scape and buildings from the aerial photos taken in 1944. Thats dedication.

Re: Brothers in Arms
Well, its been a long wait, but the game finally came out two days ago. I was able to pick up my copy today after school. This is by far the best WW2 Fps hands down. You have to use your fellow soldiers to complete your objectives, If you go all rambo you'll get killed. I was left speechless after I stoped playing, There is actually realistic gore to recreate what war was really like. This beats all other WW2 FPS for the Xbox or Ps2. You might want rent it just to give it a try.
