in a literal sense, you're right. but I think what he's asking is if Jews are perceived differently than non-jewish whites (in forms of racist/stereotypical behavior)...and the fact is, they are.

wow, I never knew how many of you would hate me and hate OMINUB more than me.. I'm racist and I can't help it, sure I have black and mexican friends. But before I ever started talking to them I talked about them caused problems even dropped the name words a few times.. It's just the way I was raised.. If my dad saw a black person in our neighborhood he was like "where does that nigga think he's goin?" I mean I was brought up to dislike certain people..... And belive me I do.. But I'm not 100% racist I learned this in boot camp and ait there are good people out there that are black and mexican and indian.. You just have to get to know them....

My dad is super racist, just because the age he was raised in. Like, whenever he sees a black guy on TV or driving and we pass him, he makes a crack about their lips, or something about monkeys, and honestly, i cant stand it. Its not that i dont enjoy a good racist joke, because I love them. Its just that, like, he does it all the god damn time. He saw his first black person in real life when he was like, 15. I saw mine when i was 1.

There were no black people at his highschool.
There are like, 50+ at mine.

In a sesne it disgusts me how racist he is, its not that he just doesnt like black people, he just doesnt like anyone. He'll make a crack about you if your white, but only if your a newfie, from Alberta, or the southern US. Sterotype city.

IMO race doesn't matter one thing. Other things do though, like the way they act.
Example:

I don't kinda avoid these people because they're black, but because they look tough and a bit dangerous.
If they were white, I would feel exactly the same way about them.

Stereotyping in itself isn't wrong. Just when that makes you discriminate people....

And err, Stu, if there wasn't a need for BET, there wouldn't be one. MTV and VH1 simply don't play the music much, and no other stations show the movies. Unless you believe we should all give into white America's culture.

Why is there BET (Black Entertainment Television)? What kind of verbal outbreak would there be if someone established WET?

anyone who thinks there's a need for BET is accusing someone of racism. My stance is that BET represents racism. Blacks only. Asians and whites and whatnot not welcome, not included. That's wrong. If someone thinks that general entertainment programming is unfairly excluding a certain race or culture, then the worst thing that person can do is give in, and make that visual boundry.

If someone thinks that general entertainment is unfairly excluding something, you can't just sit, beg, and wait for them to give you what you want. You've got to do it yourself. They feel that black culture is not being represented well, if at all, on television, so it's up to themselves to get what it is they want. So, what kind of outbreak would there be if there was a White Entertainment Television? There would never be one, because there isn't the need for one. There are so many shows made that feature white people on television, but there's not that many featuring blacks are there?
And second, I wonder why nearly everytime there's a discussion on this topic, BET is almost always brought up, but never Telemundo, Univision, Galavision, TeleFutura, etc. Hardly does anyone complain that those stations are excluding people, even though their business are run in the United States and broadcast from here, too.

White people cannot call a black person a nigger, yet a Spanish person can.

It's not that they can, it's just that they choose too. And it's usually Nigga not the N word.

That is pure garbage. Nigga and nigger are exactly the same word. The main reason why it's pronounced 'nigga' is because many never pronounce the 'er' sound at the end of words. Bigga, betta, sneaka are common pronounciations of simila words.

They don't look tough or dangerous, they're just posing for a picture. Wearing a large T-shirt and not smiling in a photo does not make a person dangerous.

I agree with you, those guys are probably very nice.

But my point is, there are some people you shouldn't mess with. Perhaps not even come too close to.
A few streets from where I live, there's a neighbourhood with people that are.... agressive towards outsiders (did I say that politicly correct?). I don't fear them, but I don't stare at them or talk to them.

It doesn't matter what colour they are, or if they're rockers, rappers or skaters....

Is BET exclusive to black talent? (I dont know for sure, but it seems like it)

If a group of blacks want to form a program that represents blacks in a proportionate rate, that's another thing. Making it 'blacks only', well...I dont see how that makes things any better.

And I bring up BET because it's most commonly known, I use it as an example, not because I have a personal feeling towards it specifically.
