I resent candidate Bond's allegations that my administration would be the second coming of communism. His unworkable flat tax would either bankrupt the government or result in an outragously high sales tax which would make the poor even poorer. Let me tell you about a friend of mine, Lisa Ruden. Lisa is a triple-amputee who had to drag herself along the ground to be with us today because she cannot afford a taxi. Under my plan, she would get a tax break which would allow her to afford 3 meals a day. Under my opponent's plan, her house would be burned to the ground.
