Re: Fable Reviews
This is about what I thought Fable would get, too. The story has always been the contentious element of this game and honestly Molyneaux (sp?) games almost have NO story besides the one that you create. I actually find this liberating, but I can see how others who love great stories in their RPGs woulkd find this a serious drawback.
For a sequel I would like to see a bigger game with the same features. Mke a more free roaming world (smaller than morrowind but bigger than KOTOR) with more quests.
But in the end I think the draw of this game will be your character reacting with the living world. I plan on experimenting endlessly with the economic system and good and evil. Just think about the possibilities... Good Mage, Evil Mage, Neutral Mage, Good Warrior, Bad Warrior, Neutral Warrior, Good Thief, Bad Thief Neutral Thief... get married, be failthful, be unfaithful, kill her, get a new one, cheat on here with her sister, kill her... you get my point
Well its under a half a month left before I lose myself to this game as an axe weilding evil bastard (and then a sick ass mage), but I've waited so long a few more days won't bother me much.

Re: Fable Reviews
I still think while the game doesnt look as gorgeous as previously anticapated and described, it's probably gonna make up for that with the gameplay and wideness of it all.

Re: Fable Reviews
The Intro Movie of fable is titled Gameplay Footage 3 and is on the bottom of the page. It got me all excited and such.

Re: Fable Reviews
Quite a let down, i hope GTA: San Andreas doesn't do the same thing, because its impossible not to relate the two hypes.

Re: Fable Reviews
haha, 9.3, yeah, what a sh*tty score.
Like I said before, Wind Waker all over again. Can't wait to have a good laugh over at the IGN boards.

Thats hardly an explanation, more of a prognostication. As for Gamespot, they think its their job to score everything lower than IGN so thats not exactly a difficult guess. I've never heard of 1up.com, but I'll check them out now.
I'm waiting more for Gamespy's verdict as I trust them more than pretty much everyone else, but thats just my personal bias.
Anyway you slice it I'm going to be playing this game a LOT come Sept. 14th.

Neither have I, but have you seen those kids wearing 1up shirts? The ones with the green shrooms reminiscent of the days Nintendo was moreso competition than a dying grandfather.
No Nintendo site will give Fable a good review, for this you should believe Dyne. And what I've seen of Dyne's previous posts, surely he's the best at knowing the fan-at ways of the Nintenders (those who tend the dying Nin)

Morrowind really wasn't that large... it was just that you were so rediciously slow.
...... ok gotta admit, it was large. Lots of things to do....
OK I take back what I said about it not being that large.
