Wisdom Teeth Out
I had my wisdom teeth removed this morning. All four of them. When I first went in, they gave me laughing gas to relax, then after a few minutes I was given a type of anesthesia via an I.V. hooked up to my arm. And I was just sitting there and I blinked my eyes for one second, I hadn't even felt sleepy and then when I opened then again, they told me it was finished. And it was literally as if only one second had passed from my perspective, it was first time being 'knocked-out'. I haven't really experienced any pain yet, I'm on pain killers. My face hasn't really swollen either yet, my mom says I might look like a chipmunk tomorrow, we'll have to see. Anyway, I'm glad it's over with. I was hoping I wouldn't have to have my wisdom teeth pulled, but it wasn't really that bad. Now I'm just laying it low for a couple days.

Re: Wisdom Teeth Out
Wisdom teeth are nothing they might hurt for a little while but its nopt that bad. Tonsils on the other hand put me out for a week and made me drop 50 pounds.

Re: Wisdom Teeth Out
lol, do you feel like less of a man now? Congrats on getting that over with. My wisdom teeth haven't really been bothering me yet. It'll probably change.
On the topic of teeth...I visited the dentist a couple months ago and got a cavity filled in. Since then the tooth has been really sore when I bite down on food with it. I've been chewing my food mostly on the other side of my mouth. I went in to the dentist about a month ago and he said that the filling wasn't grinded down enough. He did his thing and it was better after but I still wince when I bite down on something harder on that side of my mouth. So, I must make an appointment with him again to get it fixed.

Re: Wisdom Teeth Out
I had mine removed nearly a year ago, and I didn't think it was so bad, either. There was one tooth that was apparently super deep, so that hurt for a while afterwards, but it wasn't anything super bad.
Everybody who says getting them removed is horrible are just wimps.

Re: Wisdom Teeth Out
I only have 1 wisdom tooth, in the top right side of my mouth, but its not even out yet, its not growing, and the only part of it that is out is a little tiny small tip.

Re: Wisdom Teeth Out
When I had mine pulled, originally that wasn't the scenario. I was just having a root canal "pre-checkup" (where they take xray's of my mouth) and the doc there was like "well, from this wide scan of your mouth, looks like your wisdom teeth could come out too while your out" so I just said ok, sure. And the same thing happened to me where 1 second your wide awake, the next your waking up having no clue what just happened.

Re: Wisdom Teeth Out
I made a post about my experience. They took out 5 wisdom teeth for me. It was pretty bad for me...tasting blood all day. I was so swollen for like 3 or 4 days. Good luck GM, I hope yours doesn't end up being as bad as mine, which is possible.

Re: Wisdom Teeth Out
You can have 5 wisdom teeth? I thought there was only one a side (up-right, up-left, down-right, down-left)...

I had another one that started to grow. Originally they thought I had 8!, but the x-ray was bad. The 5th one was tiny, and it wasn't really anything, but it could have done some damage if it had kept growing..
