Re: Music Battle Bracket
Ok, how do you not have king crimson in that battle? They're in your sig ferchrissakes, and belong in that grouping way more than Johnny Cash, U2, The Velvet Underground, The Residents, and Bob Marley.
As does ELO, Wings, ELP, The Moody Blues and, most of all GENESIS!
Edit
Hey hey, 1500!

We're sorry that not every band could be included. :\ There was a ton of new bands I wanted to put in...but there wasnt any room for them. Perhaps in the coming years another Music Battle can be held, with a complete different set of bands.

I'm glad that The Residents snuck in there. Some of the best strange music ever.

I wanted to put King Crimson, ELO, Wings, and The Moody Blues in...but like I've said many times...you just can't fit everyone. I was trying to put a mainstream perspective in there..with a few that weren't known as well. It was hard..and I'm sorry. I also thought about putting Genesis on..but, *shrugs*..not much I could do about it.

Re: Music Battle Bracket
Cool brackets. My personal favourite is Zeppelin... It will be cool to see how every band does though.
CSNY is sick too, because I can only assume that it includes all of their individual music, before and after.

Well, my point wasn't to say that "here are bands that I would have liked to have seen in the battle" but just to put bands that fit in more with the genre of the other bands you picked.

Alright..well I do agree with you there. If I had the list in a better fitting way, I would have probably done it something like this...
The Beatles
The Who
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Pink Floyd
The Eagles
Elton John
Queen
The Rolling Stones
Led Zeppelin
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Simon & Garfunkel
The Beach Boys
Eric Clapton
The Doors
Aerosmith
Boston
Chicago
Cream
CSNY
David Bowie
Doobie Brothers
ELO
Guess Who
Jefferson Airplane/Starship
Jethro Tull
Jimi Hendrix
King Crimson
Kiss
Steppenwolf
BTO
The Moody Blues
Yes
I suppose there are a few more that could fit in there like ELP, Genesis, Three Dog Night, Buffalo Springfield, Turtles, The Clash, Van Halen(those two are kind of different though), BOC, Animals, Allman Brothers Band..and I think a few more. I was trying to make it an "Old Band" bracket..but I would have much rather done just Classic Rock. Choosing only 32 bands can be tough though.
Edit: 700th post, woohoo. I'm coming slowly, but I think I'll make 1000 one of these days.

Re: Music Battle Bracket
Woah, I didn't even notice Van Halen wasn't on the list! That is a travesty!

Re: Music Battle Bracket
Haha, yes it is, quite the travesty indeed.
It has no (IMO) good bands ( yes it has some, but it could have dont with more)
I will admit, i like the second bracket you posted better, but too bad you didn't use it.
*shakes fist*
*shakes fist harder*

I can't please everyone..
I suppose I could switch a few bands. I don't really think Bob Marley and U2 should be in there either..that was Bond's suggestion. I agree with Stoney that they don't fit in with the genre of music. So do you think I should change a few, since the battle is only on the first two battles?
If I do that, then I'll put Van Halen in place of U2, and either King Crimson or ELO in place of Bob Marley. Sorry Bond, I they were your choices..but they just don't fit. So if anyone thinks I should do that, let me know. I don't know if that's considered unfair since we already started this whole thing.
Ah screw it, I'll just change it now. I'm in charge of this thing, so I'll just do it.
