STORY BACKGROUND
In the 23rd Century, an ambitious attempt to develop a clean source of nuclear power went horribly wrong. A nuclear rain fell upon the earth, and most of the world's population was instantly killed in a maelstrom of radiation and flame. The survivors discovered that the 'cataclysm' had imbued them with supernatural abilities and long-lasting life; but over time, they began to mysteriously disappear. Soon after, a horrific discovery was made. The cataclysm had opened a rift into a demon dimension and these nightmarish creatures had been feasting on the survivors.

For nearly 700 years, the survivors began to hone their new abilities into a new and deadly fighting art to combat the demon invasion. Many were slain, and a thousand tales of sorrow wove their way into the pages of history. Now, only the greatest warriors remain...

... Our story begins on the isolated island-city called Kenkisouken.

Centuries ago, it was a thriving metropolis and a marvel of modern technology. Now this city is a ruined wasteland ruled by a Demon Lord and guarded by an army of sword wielding fiends and abominable creatures.

400 years after he was defeated and exiled from the island, one man returns to avenge the death of his master. Driven by rage and a thirst for revenge, he used every day of the last 400 years to perfect his fighting techniques. He has become the deadliest man alive. Armed with a pair of enchanted swords, supernatural abilities, and an arsenal of magic spells, he begins his quest to avenge the death of his master and defeat the Demon Lord.

This man's name is Lau Wong. Before the sun rises again, thousands will die by his hand...
