You ever hear of oversaturation?

Too much of a good thing is bad for you, and all that other rubbish.

I think that will play a large part into this whole Sony lineup (as well as Nintendo's and MicroSoft's)

First and foremost, I don't see where you get the Killzone numbers from, or how you predicted it, but eh.

Second, because there are so many potential "great" selling games, some games will quite frankly get lost in the shuffle, or they will all do well, but cut sales down across the board.

Then you take into consideration that both the GameCube and Xbox are looking at key title releases this year, and you start to see that it's hard to predict anything.

A better question though, is Sony willing to wait that late (this would probably be after the DS launches and what have you) to announce an official price for the PSP?

I mean I don't imagine they are thinking like you are thinking, maybe they are you never know, but eh.

And what happens if they do go through with this, and the price doesn't really help em? As far as I can remember, no console has ever gone UP in price.
