Consoles That Never Came Into Existence
There are a lot of consoles that were rumoured in the past, that never actually came out.
1.M2 - It was rumoured to come out a short time after the N64 and be more powerful.
2.There was a console last year that was supposed to compete with Xbox, PS2, DC and GCN. I forget what it was called, but it was supposed to be 600 mhz.
3.Also, last year, there were tidbits of information released that a console b Mattel and a car company (I for get which one) was going to be released, and was going to be 1.6 gigahertz.
Whatever happened to these? Also, can you think of any other rumoured consoles that were never released?

Was the Indrema ever released?
The makers of the Indrema also went on to produce the TuxBox.

1. I believe that evolved into the Nuon, which actually was released.
2. You're referring to Indrema, an open-source Linux based console. They couldn't find funding for it, so they had to cancel the project. They were over budget by 4 million, i think. They you also need people to mass produce it.
TuxBox is also planned. Doesn't stand a chance of ever coming out. All they did was take various PC parts and throw them in a box. It's not like Xbox, I mean, this is truly a PC in (and out of) a box. Take a look: http://www.tuxboxproject.com/images/..._prototype.png
ROFL!

No, that was canned. Nuon, however, was released, and like DeathsHand said, it's something built into DVD players.. it's funky, I played it at Best Buy one time.. just funky..

Has anyone heard of that 3rd console I mentioned? Last year, sometime, it was rumoured that Mattel (yes, the company that maked Barbie) and a Japanese car company (I think it was something along the lines of Suzuki, Subaru, Mazda, or something like that) were creating a video game console that would be 1.6 gigahertz.
I remember reading about it on some site, and it was made fun of b the editor, saing that it would be released in many years from now and would cost a few million dollars.
Anyone know what I'm referring to?

I didn't add him in (as you can see) -- it's the real Crash.
