But base lies is all the elections really run on. They make so many "i promises" right before the elections, but you dont hear them doing it while they are in office.
But i agree in stateing that this is the wrong move. First of all, if i was voting, and i saw a political campaign slurring another entrant ( Ie. Bush to Kerry) i would think less of the aggressor.
Think about it, they have run out of their own positives, so they focus on making up negatives, which for the most part are half-truths and lies.
I personally, if given the option to vote, i would vote for Kerry. Because i think he would do a better job than Bush did. I think one of the only reasons "dubya" is in office is because of his daddy. He probably b*tched and cried to daddy because he was scared he would lose, so daddy pulled some strings, and bam, 'dubya' "wins".
But i think all major elections are primarily based on heresy and lies.

I feel foolish asking this but which democrat candidate is for ending the war in Iraq immediately if elected? Is he the one who stole votes from Al Gore?

I'm not sure if you are talking about Ralph Nader (who is an independent) He was the another candidate who ran last year and some believe he stole some of Gore's votes, but Buchanan probably stole votes from Bush as well last year. I'm pretty sure that Howard Dean (was running for democratic nod, exited fairly early after some poor preliminary showings) wanted to get of Iraq immediately because he never agreed with the war in the first place...I think Kucinich would have as well, but he never had much of a following or a chance.
I don't like Kerry or Bush as candidates really. I'm still considering voting for Nader at this point.

This raises a valid question. Should one plan his or her vote in order to help place a certain party in power, or should one cast his or her vote on ideals alone?

Kucinich was the only candidate advocating leaving Iraq immediately. I don't think anyone else was advocating an immediate pull out of our forces.

Bush was the one that stole votes from Gore.....He wasn't even really elected, due to count failure in Florida (his brother's the governer of it, total coincedence of course), he was put in by the courts

You can call it whatever you want. But this country runs on electoral votes... there was no failure in counts, it was only very close. His brother was governor... he didnt have control of the presidential votes.
Please spare me your retarded explanations. Your ignorance disgusts me.

173 000 registered voters in Florida were permanently wiped off the voter rolls. A high majority of them were African Americans. People who shared the same names as convicted felons were knocked off the list.
This culling of voters was given the thumbs up from Jeb Bush, W's brother.
That's from Michael Moore's book.
But it could be true. The numbers are apparently right.
