Edit: There are some bands there that are questionable... For example, the Beastie Boys and Flaming Lips made music before the 90's (Nirvana too) though they may be more well known for their 90's music...Those are those are the one's where I wasn't quite sure how they should be classified.

Ho hum. Perhaps it would be best to label them for the era in which they are best known, or produced the best music?
